It's been a while

Hello blogland, it has been a while since I have caught up. I feel like I have been running around mad. Two weekends ago we went to Brighton. We had a lovely time and the girls were very spoilt be my uncle, right down to putting dressing gowns and bubble bath in the hotel room for them! We went to the Pavillion and Sea Life centre but the all time favourite was spending wads of cash on the rides on the pier!
The weather was quite good but very cold and at one point i think Emily might have been mildly hypothermic!

I managed to get a quick look round Cath Kidston (very quick) with two children and two men standing outside the door looking bored! But I did manage to pick up some lovely tea towels and napkins. We had hand baggage only so that curtailed my shopping, however I'm away to glasgow this weekend and jude says there is a little Cath Kidston in the Princes Square. May have to go... Well it would be rude not to...

Here is a wonderful shop we spotted in Brighton called Choccwocckydooda!! You should have seen the window, cakes to die for Yum!

Time for Lurve!!!!

I have finally finished the Tando heart wreath that I sent off for ages ago! I'm not sure it has turned out the way I wanted it but never mind! I did fancy using newpaper on the hearts and a red background, but the red paint didn't turn out quite right, so I turned over and started again with some Bo Bunny papers.
Don't think it will be appriciated much by DH, so it will go on the wall of my craft room!

We are off to Brighton on Sunday to visit my uncle. The girls are very excited because he is great fun to be with and they get to stay in a hotel! This must be the first time we have actually stayed in a 'proper' hotel with the girls, usually it's a Travel Inn or an apartment somewhere hot. They can't belive that you get to choose anything for breakfast!! Yes they have Frosties!! What a sheltered life!
May I just say that Cath kidston better have restocked their shelves in preparation for my visit!!

Oh and on the Luurve theme, have you seen the new Emma Bridgewater additions to the pink hearts range? It's fab, hint, hint DH! I would link to it but I need another lesson from Kirsti!

Matchbox Swap

Yesterday I recieved my matchbox swap from Sonja. I decided to join in the swap on the Bubbly forum as i have never done one before. I have to send my box to Erika, I hope she likes it. I had great fun going through my stash to find bits and pieces for Erika's box. She asked for pinks which was quite easy as I have two girls so most of my stash is pink!

My box is beautiful! I asked for reds and creams to go with my country style. The box was full of yummy bits and pieces, ric rac, ribbon, buttons, a stamp, some pearls and my very favourite some Jenni Bowlin journalling cards. Sonja has got my taste down to a tea!! Thank you so so much x

My winnings!

Saturday was supposed to be a day of crafting, thanks to Jaquie at Simply Create, however because of the snow(will it ever end?) I didn't get up to Alford until the afternoon. By that time the roads were slightly clearer but I was determind not to miss the Bo Bunny class. Everyone who had made it through had been working on a vintage layout and they were beautiful. There were a couple of make and takes which I never got to, but I am really pleased with my Bo Bunny book.

We finished off the afternoon with a pass the parcel which I won!! I was delighted as it is a whole range of Basic Grey. I did feel a little bad at winning when I had only gone for the afternoon, but it made it worth the battle through the snow! Thanks Jacquie x

We are up to our eyes in decorating the playroom, so the house is a mess with toys everywhere and a fine layer of dust over every surface. It will be worth it in the end! Going for white walls and some red gingham curtains. Oh and new storage with doors!!!!
