Ooops
Made a error in previous post it was Mel Mel who had pointed out the magazine freebie - sorry! Read so many lovely blogs it's hard to keep up!
A CK day!
Today I got my Cath Kidston fix! It will keep me going for a few weeks I'm sure! Firstly the postman turned up with a couple of parcels. I had ordered some pink glasses and a flour shaker.
Secondly I bought this months Easy Living magazine after Lemonade Kitty pointed me in the right direction. This month comes with a free CK tote and catalogue. Can't wait until the kids are in bed so I can sit down with a nice cup of tea and peruse what to buy next!
The best bit was, in the boxes was a postcard saying 'Thank you for shopping with us!'. No Cath, Thank you!!!
PS sorry about the standard of photos i'm no photographer!

That's better!
Finally finished the living room. The decorator came last weekend and the carpet was laid Wed. Got all the furniture in although it was tough going when you are a weakling and your husband expects you to lift a sofa! All in all I'm really pleased with it. All it needs now are a few bits and pieces to pretty it up.
Also got some pictures and bunting up on the playroom wall which have been lying around for ages. Looks nice. Off to the caravan this afternoon hope the weather stays nice.

More decorating!
Here we go again! Why is it when you complete one room the rest of the house looks like it needs a paint job? We have been planning to do the living room for a while now. I must of had my baby brain on when we first moved to this house as I chose a very modern suite and furniture. It was lovely, but I'm a country style girl at heart so out with the old and in with the new.
We had to paint(I say we but I really mean DH)the walls white yesterday to cover the brown(baby brain!) and already it looks better. Painter coming tonight to start all the woodwork and the hopefully start the papering. I love wallpaper, I have chosen a gold stripe this time, to match my new red sofa.
This is what it looks like today. Will keep you updated on the progress!

What was I thinking!!
Went to a fantastic ball last night in aid of JDRF. My DH and best friends daughter are diabetic insulin dependent so we support this charity in the bid to find a cure. My girls have a one in twenty chance of developing type one diabetes so lets hope they can find that cure fast. The ball was a great success, lets hope they made loads of money.
The theme this year was an Indian one. The ball room was beautiful and we were all given bindi's to wear!! Didn't take my camera -doh!
However after a few drinks I decided it would be fun to have a henna tattoo!!!!
WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!!
I have to go to work with this!! My class will be stunned!

Hello!
Hello!
Hope you all had a lovely Easter. We went to our caravan in Findhorn for the school hols. Usually Findhorn has it's own little micro climate and generally the sun always shines, however, it was not to be! Last Tuesday we decided to come home as the weather was taking a turn for the worst, so we packed up and headed off. We got as far as Elgin when the road signs told us that the A96 was closed due to snow! Snow? At Easter? What is it with this country? So we headed back to ride it out. We watched endless DVD's while outside it was horizontal sleet! Also spent a fortune entertaining the girls, bowling, ice skating, play barns etc. Think it might have been cheaper to go abroad to the sun!
The second week was better and DH came to join us. Lots of long walks on the beach collecting shells and building sand castles. Went to a spring fair where the girls got to see baby lambs and rabbit and of course have their faces painted!
Not done any crafting for ages, going to try to make a bit more time for myself, that is after I have tided the garden. Oh and we have finally finished the playroom. All the furniture arrived at the weekend so we were busy at it building and tidying. What do you think? And how long do you think it will stay tidy?!

It's been a while
Hello blogland, it has been a while since I have caught up. I feel like I have been running around mad. Two weekends ago we went to Brighton. We had a lovely time and the girls were very spoilt be my uncle, right down to putting dressing gowns and bubble bath in the hotel room for them! We went to the Pavillion and Sea Life centre but the all time favourite was spending wads of cash on the rides on the pier!
The weather was quite good but very cold and at one point i think Emily might have been mildly hypothermic!
I managed to get a quick look round Cath Kidston (very quick) with two children and two men standing outside the door looking bored! But I did manage to pick up some lovely tea towels and napkins. We had hand baggage only so that curtailed my shopping, however I'm away to glasgow this weekend and jude says there is a little Cath Kidston in the Princes Square. May have to go... Well it would be rude not to...
Here is a wonderful shop we spotted in Brighton called Choccwocckydooda!! You should have seen the window, cakes to die for Yum!

Time for Lurve!!!!
I have finally finished the Tando heart wreath that I sent off for ages ago! I'm not sure it has turned out the way I wanted it but never mind! I did fancy using newpaper on the hearts and a red background, but the red paint didn't turn out quite right, so I turned over and started again with some Bo Bunny papers.
Don't think it will be appriciated much by DH, so it will go on the wall of my craft room!
We are off to Brighton on Sunday to visit my uncle. The girls are very excited because he is great fun to be with and they get to stay in a hotel! This must be the first time we have actually stayed in a 'proper' hotel with the girls, usually it's a Travel Inn or an apartment somewhere hot. They can't belive that you get to choose anything for breakfast!! Yes they have Frosties!! What a sheltered life!
May I just say that Cath kidston better have restocked their shelves in preparation for my visit!!
Oh and on the Luurve theme, have you seen the new Emma Bridgewater additions to the pink hearts range? It's fab, hint, hint DH! I would link to it but I need another lesson from Kirsti!

Matchbox Swap
Yesterday I recieved my matchbox swap from Sonja. I decided to join in the swap on the Bubbly forum as i have never done one before. I have to send my box to Erika, I hope she likes it. I had great fun going through my stash to find bits and pieces for Erika's box. She asked for pinks which was quite easy as I have two girls so most of my stash is pink!
My box is beautiful! I asked for reds and creams to go with my country style. The box was full of yummy bits and pieces, ric rac, ribbon, buttons, a stamp, some pearls and my very favourite some Jenni Bowlin journalling cards. Sonja has got my taste down to a tea!! Thank you so so much x

My winnings!
Saturday was supposed to be a day of crafting, thanks to Jaquie at Simply Create, however because of the snow(will it ever end?) I didn't get up to Alford until the afternoon. By that time the roads were slightly clearer but I was determind not to miss the Bo Bunny class. Everyone who had made it through had been working on a vintage layout and they were beautiful. There were a couple of make and takes which I never got to, but I am really pleased with my Bo Bunny book.
We finished off the afternoon with a pass the parcel which I won!! I was delighted as it is a whole range of Basic Grey. I did feel a little bad at winning when I had only gone for the afternoon, but it made it worth the battle through the snow! Thanks Jacquie x
We are up to our eyes in decorating the playroom, so the house is a mess with toys everywhere and a fine layer of dust over every surface. It will be worth it in the end! Going for white walls and some red gingham curtains. Oh and new storage with doors!!!!

Busy Life
Hello! It's been a while since my last post! Life is going very fast at the moment what with my new job, brownies and running the kids around. I have also been going to a personal trainer twice a week in a bid to loose some weight. Last week it was so hard I was nearly sick on her floor! So i'm not looking forward to tomorrow's session, my muscles have just recovered from last week!
The good news is that I finally got my new kitchen table after many months of whinging at DH! And it's fab, all I need now is the Aga to go with it - lol.
Off to simply create at the weekend for a post Christmas party. Have tons to prepare for it but havn't even started. Looks like i'll be busy for the next couple of nights. Really looking forward to it though, always lovely thing to drool over at the shop, and nice people to spend the day with.

I love hearts!
Looking around my house I have just realised how hearts have taken over! I know I am drawn to them in shops but i didn't realise i had sooooo many. here are just some.
<
Here's to Valentine's Day!! I have ordered a Tando heart wreath, I'll let you know how I get on with it.
PS This is my first multiple photo upload, it doesn't seem to have worked that well! Bear with me!

Oooo! Look what I got today at M&s! A new ironingboard cover that was long overdue. Shabby chic and pink - just my thing!
Went into Union Square today for lunch as it is Greg's birthday. We ended up in 'Spurs' a steak resturant with a kids play area. I love places that cater for the kids as it means that everyone can enjoy thier meal! Is it just me though or is Union Square a bit over rated?! I didn't go any where near Hobby craft though - well it is his birthday! Lol!

Home at last!
Well, mum arrived home this morning and has taken the news about the house very well considering. She slipped in the airport and has hurt her ankle so I think she was more concerened about that than the house at the time. She went down after lunch to have a look and although upset I think she was too jetlagged to really think about it.
Greg managed to get my car out the drive today which is great news as if you know me I'm not good being at home all the time, I get bored easily and suffer from cabin fever! I like to be busy which is just as well as that's how we'll be all week!
Parents get keys to rental property on Tuesday so I'll be helping with the move. I was going to get a personal trainer this month to kick start the weight loss, but what's the point? I'll be doing enough weight lifting and running around I won't need one. Also when my dad moves out I'll automatically loose a stone by not drinking - he's a bad influence!!!

Flood plans
Well, not sure it gets any better just some plans made now. Chem dry are coming to remove carpets tomorrow so hopefully it will stop raing inside the house. I went(with help from Kirsti - thank you) to see a rental property this morning. It looks fine and it's furnishd so at least when mum comes home sunday she will have somewhere to go. Although they are welcome to stay here, thats okay for short term, everyone needs space. I have washed and dried bags and bags of clothes for the past two days. Every piece of clothing is saturated. I just wish the snow would stop now so I can get moving with the stuff. It has snowed so much this avo that I prob wouldn't make it out the drive.
I did plan to write this blog to find the positives in life, at the moment I can't see them!! At least no-one is hurt, just heartbroken.

Water everywhere
My poor dad arrived home from Australia this morning to be faced with burst pipes. The whole house is a mess. It seems to have burst in the loft and been filling up before washing away the ceilings below. I think most of their furniture as well as the walls and ceilings will need replaced. I have never seen anything like it.
It will be a long day tomorrow, after the insurer has been we can see what can be salvaged. We havn't told my mum, she is still in Oz. I feel terrible, I should have checked the house more often.

Back to normal!
Spent the day doing the food shopping and taking down the Christmas decs. Doesn't the house feel bare when it's all gone? It's been a long two weeks probably because we couldn't go anywhere due to the snow, but it was nice to spend some time together. One more day then it's back to normal running around like an idiot!
I'm not making any New Year Resolutions as I always break them, but I am going to try very hard to loose some weight. I will try hard not to have so many Hazelnut Lattes or eat too many almond croissants! Costa will feel the pinch but hopefully I will not, as I'm sure it is far, far more than an inch!
Tommorow i'm going to attempt to add a picture - I can hear you a laughing at me!
